Distillates use a process that creates a pure level of a cannabinoid, such as THC (some yield as high as 99%). The result is a translucent product that’s regarded as a top-shelf concentrate.
Rick Simpson oil (RSO) is a cannabis oil product that was developed by Canadian medical marijuana activist, Rick Simpson. RSO differs from a lot of other cannabis oils, because it is a full-spectrum product with high levels of cannabinoids, such as THC or CBD. The oil is extracted with a CO2 system, which has less risk of compromising the natural volatile compounds found in cannabis, such as terpenes and other cannabinoids.
Cannabis tinctures are liquid, cannabis-infused products. The products are made by using a solvent, such as alcohol, to pull the terpenes and cannabinoids from the plant. The final product is essentially alcohol that is infused with the pertinent components of the cannabis plant. There can be alcohol-free and full-spectrum or single-cannabinoid tinctures, such as CBD or THC only.
